Facebook is the number one social media platform and it’s still continuing to attract new users. That’s a good thing for companies wanting to take advantage of Facebook marketing. Here are some things you should consider:
- Create Audience Specific Pages- One business page may not be enough when you are trying to reach new customers or even promote your services. Say you are a video game developer, and you have several different titles. As a customer, I may regularly play fantasy games, but I am not into sports. Instead of just creating a general company page – you could create multiple pages to promote your products. Maybe one for each title or each genre.
- Use Facebook Ads to Promote Your Business –With Facebook ads you can target certain segments of people: those who live in a certain zip code or people who like fantasy video games. By creating ads to target those specific segments you can either send them to your Facebook page (of which they may already be a member) or send them to your website to check out upcoming titles and maybe pre-order them.
- Create Custom Landing Pages to Capture Customers-When people click on your Facebook Ads they can be sent to a custom landing page on your public website. This page can tell them about a upcoming title release and maybe even let them pre-order. This will help you convert more customers than sending them to your homepage.
- Track Your Performance –Facebook has very good tracking. Their analytics can help you see which ads perform the best, how many click-through rates you have and what other interests your customers have so that you can re-market to them. You can also use Google Analytics to help you expand your tracking capabilties and possibly capture more customers in the future.
Facebook is a very powerful tool for companies and if used correctly, it can increase your sales and help you retain customers by engaging with them on a social level.
